The Sullivan Named 2024 Multifamily Development of the Year CoStar Impact Winner
March 28, 2024 – Greenville, SC: – The Sullivan was named the 2024 Multifamily Development of the Year CoStar Impact Award winner in the Greenville/Spartanburg market. Winners—chosen for their growth, diversification, and ability to overcome unique challenges in their markets—were selected from a panel of more than 660 industry professionals drawn from each respective market.
The Sullivan is Greenville’s largest affordable development in 12 years, consisting of 5 buildings serving 180 one, two, three, and four-bedroom units over 40 acres. Built from the ground up in a historically underserved area experiencing rapid growth, it aims to address Greenville’s critical need for housing without sacrificing amenities, location and style.
The goal of Schaumber Development and Douglas Development was to create a welcoming community where residents can thrive. In doing so, they chose to provide an array of amenities which vastly outnumber the playground, laundry room and business center that are generally required of affordable apartments.

The CoStar Impact Awards recognize exemplary commercial real estate transactions and projects completed in 2023 that have significantly influenced neighborhoods or submarkets across 128 major international markets in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The awards honored over 380 winners for their CRE transactions across five categories: Lease of the Year, Sale/Acquisition of the Year, Commercial Development of the Year, Multifamily Development of the Year and Redevelopment of the Year.
